The International Summer Art & Design Residency program was born out of the desire to create a studio experience for visiting international students interested in spending time at our main OCAD University campus while immersing themselves in all that the city of Toronto has to offer.
Over 3 weeks in July 2023, residency participants from around the globe created original multidisciplinary art and design work uncovering personal ideas of “place" inspired by the residency's theme, "Wanderlust." Below are some examples of their self-directed projects culminating in the form of an exhibition at OCAD University's Ada Slaight Gallery.
